A pop of color
I’m not mad! Blame the heat for the candid expression on my face!

WAGW denim polo/ vintage dress
Yhansy necklace
Extremefinds blue and violet bracelet/Accessorize bronze bangle
CMG shoes
On lazy sundays when I don’t feel like dressing up, I always just pick a dress and go from there. Throw in some attention grabbing accessories and your good to go! It’s also not a bad idea to layer up. Would you agree that it can completely change a look? I’ve had these bracelets from Exremefinds for a while now but I didn’t have the chance to post any looks with it till now. I can’t get over how the colors just pop and make a difference. I’m such a fan of their accessories that I had to get a bunch full after I spotted them at The Ramp. Sometimes to break the monochrome look you need a pop of color here and there just to make it a little more interesting. Lastly, I’ve been eyeing on the Yhansy seashell necklace and the moment I knew it was on sale I had to get it! Don’t you just love shopping online? I get all giddy every time a package arrives for me! : ) Can’t wait for my next purchase!
Looking Forward
Have I ever mentioned how I’m such a movie fanatic! My friends and I used to watch movies every weekend in high school. A lot of things changed since then but whenever we can, we still try to catch up by watching movies together just like old times. Here are some of the upcoming movies I’m dying to watch!
The Vow
I think anyone would agree with me that any movie with Chaning Tatum is a MUST-WATCH. haha!
Hunger Games
I’m not the type to read a book or watch a movie twice because what’s the point in watching again when I’d already know what would happen anyway. Not for this book! Recently I read the Hunger Games trilogy again and may I just say how AWESOME it still is the second time around! It’s amazing how the author can manage to keep you from closing the book until the last page! Trust me, every chapter is a heart pounding experience! You’d literally go, “whuut just happened? huuuh??” and then find yourself looking for answers in the next chapter and the next and the next…
Although the following movies were already out in the theaters a long time ago, these are considered my all-time favorites!
One Day
This I just watched two weeks ago. I love the story line and I think I would’ve loved it even more have I read the book!
The Notebook
No words can describe how amazingly beautiful this movie is. It brings me to tears EVERY TIME. I think I might have watched it more than three times already! I love the characters. I love the story. I love the author. (In fact, I read almost all Nicholas Sparks books except the latest ones.) And I most especially love, the setting. <3
Time Traveller’s Wife
By now you would have already noticed that I’m a Rachel McAdams fan! haha! I’ve also read this book in high school and waited months for the movie to finally be in theaters. I really like the way the book was written but I wasn’t sure the movie would do justice to the book till I watched the trailer and just knew it would be epic. And it was.
What other movies are you looking forward to?

From Divi ring
Plains and Prints polo/ WAGW midi skirt
Charles and Keith shoes
I wore this on the eve of Chinese New Year. I know midi skirts can make you look shorter which is why I try to avoid them before but ever since they made a comeback I can’t get enough of it. For shorties like me, the key here is to wear heels to give you that oomph. I’ve been using my Sony Cybershot for my outfit shots lately because my dslr was used to take the videos for Dragon Fireworks pyromusical shows. Our show in Waterfront is always one of the most anticipated show of the year for the people here in Cebu. Can’t wait to show you guys the pictures in my next post!
Light up the sky
This is how I spent my Chinese New Year.

I really wish I took more photos! : ( Although the night did not turn out the way I expected it to be, I was more than happy to spend my Chinese New Year with Sycees. If you don’t follow my blog, Sycces is the Filipino-Chinese organization formed by my group of friends for Cebu Doctors’ University. Can’t wait for the activities we planned this year!
Sky Lanterns and fireworks by Dragon Fireworks Inc.
Sky lanterns are such a beautiful way to end an event don’t you think? In fact, a lot of people have been asking me where to get them. For amazingly affordable sky lanterns check out Cr8tive Thoughts Sky Lanterns.
Red for luck
I was so ready when…
A group of dragon dancers decided to dance just when we were about to take pictures.
Eventually we had to transfer to the garden at the Terraces. I had so much fun playing with the light! Thank you so much Vivien for taking my pictures! I couldn’t even choose which not to post because they were all so pretty! You’ll see why…

All accessories are from Divi. Believe it or not.
I love the cut of my tank top which sort of reminds me of a heart with the red color and all.
Bossini tank top/ Plains and Prints skirt/ Mom’s vintage belt
Aldo shoes
I guess that’s why they call it the “Golden Hour” for photographers. And because Vivien asked me to post it…
The most “candid” picture of all. HAHA. I still can’t get over it.
Wore this on Chinese New Year. More about that on the next post. : )

The Little Black Market necklace/ From Divi insect ring
Wow I didn’t notice I was wearing WAGW from head to toe! Accessories included!
WAGW top, faux leather shorts and gold bangle
Hype this look on lookbook and chictopia
After what happened last weekend, I kept asking myself WHY haven’t I done this before? Sinulog is the best!! I think we’ve never partied harder than this! But you were wrong when you thought I wore these wedges on the procession! haha. How could I? Yesterday, for what seemed to take forever we managed to walk from Ayala to Mango avenue. Imagine the pain on my feet when I got up this morning. We were all exhausted and though we had plans to go to Baseline, where the party’s at, we simply went home. I’m mostly sad because a.) I had to wake up early for my 7:30 class and b.) I had a 7:30 class. : ( It’s so sad that CDU didn’t make today a holiday but oh well back to reality for me which means the usual 7 to 4 classes. Life sucks. haha! See, that just explains why I can’t take so much outfit posts in the weekdays. If only we didn’t have a uniform…
Anyhoo, The Stylogist is collaborating with the lovely Charlene Ajose for a blog giveaway! Stay tuned for that! And and! Did you guys notice my change in hair color? I mentioned this on my post here. I know its not so obvious but I love the effect of Etude House’s bubble shampoo on my naturally brown hair. : )
How did you spend your New Year?
I didn’t plan to blog about how I spent my New Year so I don’t have much pics including the yummy food we ate at midnight, people opening gifts, fireworks, etc. ![]()
One for the girls!

Playing with the effects in my cousin’s Iphone!
Flaming shots!
Notice how we have the same expression. HAHA
Receiving angpao from Angkong. My little cousin is the cutest! <3
The decent shot.
Now you understand my caption above. haha! They said “wacky pose” and what do they do? Cover Janine. : ))
Since it’s a New Year, I’ve finally gathered enough courage to dye my hair. I used the Etude house bubble shampoo (natural brown shade). As always, new year equals new look. Now that I think of it, I think I’ve tried it all! Bob cut, check! Full bangs, check! Permed hair, check! I think the only style I can’t dare myself to try is a boy cut. : )
Silver dust
You know how everyone has the same glittered pumps from F21 since the store is so new to Cebu? I loved MA’s version ’cause it’s a wedge instead of the usual pumps which is why we got it in both gold and silver! haha!

Urban Gossip
Check out THE STYLOGIST’s latest collection, Urban Gossip here.
Everything was done in a rush from the styling to the make-up to the actual shoot but I can’t thank God enough for giving me the chance to work with such talented people! To top it all off, everyone in Cebu knew it had been raining all day for days on December but the Lord was merciful ’cause it did not rain the whole time! The shoot was definitely something different especially because it was done at night and not to mention on an actual AMUSEMENT PARK! I know this collection seems like a total opposite of the first but that’s only because we wanted to show a different side of The Stylogist. What do you guys think of our latest collection? I’d love to hear comments! It’s our way of knowing what to improve on for our future collections. : )

Thank you mucho to the people who made this all possible!
P.S. Will be having our first styling gig very soon! Can’t wait! Love love love collabs!
